Life is crazy right now. I have been torching every night trying to make some beads from what I learned last weekend. Haven't been successful yet. Practice, Practice. I have a order of 8 pairs of earrings which I am working on also. This weekend I will post some pictures of my beads. Happy Beading.

Intermediate Beadmaking Class with Stephanie Sersich

I just got back from Eugene Glass School. Spent two days beadmaking with Stephanie Sersich. She is amazing. I learned alot. It was nice getting out of my comfort zone of making round beads and using presses to making off mandrels beads, buttons and much more. Wonderful. Now I will have to try her techniques. Practice, Practice, Practice. Going to my studio and making beads!!!! Happy Beading!

All my beads from last weekend failed. My kiln went crazy and when I went to check on them the kiln was up to 1500 degrees and every one of them melted into a big blobby mess!!! Back to the drawing board. This weekend I am going to the Eugene Glass School and taking a two day beading class with a great artist, Stephanie Sersich. Can't wait.

My son goes to the University of Oregon in Eugene so we will be hanging out together in the evening. My youngest son is snowboarding on Saturday so our weekend is full.....Happy Beading

Behind The Torch

Did a lot of torching this weekend. I will be taking pictures of my sets tommorrow and posting. I will be placing my work for sale using Pay Pal. Watch for the Pay Pal symbol this week. I am taking a two day class with Stephanie Sersich this weekend at the Eugene Glass School. She is an amazing lampwork bead artists. Very excited. I love to learn new techniques. Happy Beading!!!

New Lampwork Bead Creations

It's Sunday and again a beautiful day here on the coast...No Wind!!! I am posting these beads. I will be making a set of 10 beads. I especially love the blue bead. Happy Beading!!

New Bead

This is amazing weather on the Pacific Coast. The sun is shining, no clouds, crisp fresh air coming off the ocean. Wow, life is great!!! I made this small bead last night; thinking about making a pendant for Valentines Day. Happy Beading!!!!

Pictures of new Anklet

I am now posting the pictures of the new anklet. Anklet is swarovski crystals, sterling silver round beads and a lampwork bead (white base with red swirls), will finish with a lobster clasp and a red flip flop charm.. All my lampwork beads are made from effretre glass. Happy Beading!!

New lanyard

Finished making a new lanyard last night for a customer. Didn't have time to take a picture, hopefully will be able to take one at noon today. I like taking my pictures in natural light which can be hard in the winter here. Happy Beading!!!

Special Orders

It's Sunday and a beautiful day here on the Oregon Coast. We just got back from the beach, no wind and sunshine!!! The boys hit golf balls on the beach and we walked our pugs (they need the exercise)!. Here is one of the anklets that I made for a wedding in April. Sterling Silver, swarovskis, of course seven of my lampwork beads and will finish with a lobster clasp. I have 5 more to make. Happy Beading!!

Special Orders

It's Saturday!!! I have already been in my studio torching. I have 6 anklets and 8 pairs of earrings to make. I have to limit myself at the torch because I have a bad case of tennis elbow and torching really irritates it!. Oh well!! Will not give up beading. I will show my beads tomorrow after I get them out the kiln and thoroughly clean them. Happy Beading!!!

I placed some of my past creations in Picaso Web Album. I am having a hard time beading this week. Way to much going on. I am hoping to get out to my studio later this evening. It's Monday and off to work I go. Wanting to share the inside of my Pacific Coast Studio. My husband custom-made the work table and set-up my studio with everything I need to torch my beads. Note: The propane tank is now outstide the building. Happy Beading!!!

Today's Creation

I am creating this necklace for a family member. I created the beads using a torch and 104 COE effretre glass. These beads are annealed in a kiln for durability and thoroughly cleaned. I use sterling silver findings, swarovski squares and seed beads. I will finish with a sterling silver lobster claw. Thanks for looking.
