My next challenge will be a donation to Beads of Courage. I would like to have all of your donate a bead and I will create a necklace to be donated to Beads of Courage. Cancer is close to my heart because I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1999 and thought I had beat it, only for it to return in 2009 in my bones. I have been battling this crazy disease ever since. The cancer will never be gone but I keep putting it into remission. I am a thriver! I am now going on 4 1/2 years and believe in my heart with the help of the Lord, my family and friends that I will be here for another 20 years! I will be posting the challenge on my blog and I will be sending pictures to all that send me beads and to our blog. The challenge will be going on for the month of May. When I finish the necklace of course everyone will be credited with the creation of this necklace and I also will send all of you a picture of the creation. Then off  to Beads of Courage!

Just returne from my son's college track meet and he pr'd in his 400m hurdles!  He broke his 55 second speed and got a 54.80 seconds in his event.  Way to go Kevin!!  Mom and Dad are very proud.

Beautiful day here on the Oregon Coast.  No wind or fog.  Can't ask for a better day.  I did some enameling today and trying to now design a necklace.  This is just an idea.  I will place a vintaj chain to the big flower pendant.  Not sure yet.  Still experimenting.

I enameled both flowers with a base of cream and dunked the tips into green and pink. I place the flowers together and riveted them onto the copper bracelet. Not sure yet if I will stamp a saying on the bracelet.  This weekend I am thinking about incorporating some of my lampwork beads with my enameled beads.  Can't wait for the weekend.  So much fun!!   Happy Beading!! 

Several people have asked me how hard it is to learn enameling.  I am taking a online class from Painting With Fire.  There are videos that Barbara downloads every day and I watch them and practice, practice, practice.  It is not hard to learn it just takes time on where in the flame do you hold your bead for enameling.  Check out her site, she is having another class in July, I believe.  Definitely worth taking...Glad you are enjoying my beads.  Happy Beading!!

Just finished enameling some beads and made them into a necklace. So much fun. I have learned you need to be careful or your beads will burn completely away. Trial and error and lots of practice. Happy Beading!!

First enameled beads.  I had so much fun!!  The colors turned out beautiful!!
